Welcome to the website of BéBé Video Productions. On this site, you will find a list of services offered, products for sale and an online printable form for ordering. This site went live on January 9th, 2007. If you have questions that are not answered on this site, or if you need anything, such as another copy of a video or if you have any questions, just email me and I'll get right back to you!

If you need any video work done in the Lafayette, Louisiana area, BéBé Video Productions would like to produce your video for you.

At BéBé Video Productions, we like to believe that our video productions set us apart from most. The reason for that is in the editing process. Too many of the videos we see are too long and boring. It takes good editing to make a video enjoyable to watch, instead of making you look at your watch. Whether you're watching a wedding video or one of some special event, it is unlikely you'll want to sit through every single minute again. What you want are the important moments. That is what we present on our videos...those things that are interesting to watch and which you'll want to see again and again, reliving memories of special times and bringing them back to life. Anyone can film an event and put it on DVD, but at BéBé Video Productions we make a video that tells the story without putting you to sleep! And the feedback that we've gotten from customers is that they watch their videos, over and over, and enjoy each viewing like it was the first time they saw it.

But as nice as our videos are, all the extra editing adds expense to the project because of the additional labor hours required to do the work. That's why we give you a choice. If you want to save money, we offer video packages without the editing. To see our wedding packages, visit our wedding page where we have video packages to suit all price ranges.

And we don't just do wedding videos. We also make commemorative videos that make excellent gifts. Examples are, "How They Met" videos which are made about a couple soon to be married and shown at the rehearsal dinner. How about a "Through the Years" video for a couple married for 25 or 50 years? It will provide great entertainment for an anniversary party and will be a treasured keepsake they'll never forget. We can even do someone's life story that can be presented for retirement parties. If you're tired of trying to figure out what to get someone who has everything, consider a BéBé Video Productions video for an extra special gift. Contact Chris with your ideas and he'll give you a price. Email Chris at: chris@bebevideoproductions.com

And if a video you purchase from us fails to work, contact us right away for a replacement. All we ask is that you return the defective disk to us.

What Goes Into the Making of a BéBé Video Productions Video?

Ever wonder what happens between the time the videographer films your event to the time you take delivery of your DVD? Well below is a list of the typical steps involved in making your video. And the greater the amount of footage that is filmed, the longer the editing process will be. For example, the filming of the Senior Video of 2007 involved over twenty hours of footage from events over a one year period. Some events involved multiple cameras. Three video cameras were used in the filming of the Academic Pep Rally. When this footage is edited, the three different cameras must be synchronized and footage selected from each individual camera. This also adds to the time taken to complete the project.  So if you were ever curious, here is a list of what happens to create your video.

1.   Shoot footage of event (1, 2 or 3 cameras)

2.   Input footage into computer to prepare for editing.

3.   Review footage and decide what stays and what isn't worth keeping in the final project.

4.   Clean up any still images to be used in video. This work is done in Photoshop and involves getting the correct brightness, contrast, levels, color correction, cropping, resolution, removing scratches, etc.

5.   Start the editing and arranging clips on timeline. (This is the most time consuming of everything on the list)

6.   Make/generate all titles and credits needed for video.

7.   Select appropriate music for video. (A lot of time is spent finding the right music. I don't use the first thing that comes to mind)

8.   Put all music, video footage, titles and special effects together.

9.   Render the finished video project.

10. Start design of the DVD Menu.

11. Burn a test disc and make sure all functions, selections and videos work properly, along with the functions of the remote control.

12. Fix any errors, if present.

13. Design the artwork for the DVD disc.

14. Design the DVD jacket artwork.

15. Burn discs.

16. Print discs. (I do not use labels. The artwork is printed directly onto the discs)

17. Print DVD jacket artwork.

18. Cut out all artwork and install it into DVD jacket. Insert finished disc.

19. Project ready for delivery or pickup.
